Specialising in mineral, coalfield and coal seam gas operations, MSJ provide professional, tailored drilling services and advice to clients faced with challenging or unusual exploration and energy projects. Based in the UK, our drilling services and expertise aligns with Australian standards and practices, yet is adapted to reflect local markets, regulations, environmental challenges and cultures, at a cost effective price point. MSJ are drilling specialists for rough terrain, environmentally sensitive and technically challenging projects. Our team has achieved successful outcomes in some of the worlds’ most notoriously difficult ground conditions.
Our rubber-track MS500 rigs are man and heli-portable; they may be demounted from their tracks and either man or heli-lifted to site, to service restricted access drilling projects. With diamond drill capacity to 500m PQ, 800m HQ and 1200m NQ; ground speeds of 15km/ph ensure the rigs are also highly efficient in open terrain. The rigs can be transported cost effectively in 20ft containers from our base in the UK, and are available for projects across Europe and Africa. Our RC capability consists of track mounted, fully self-contained rigs; with rods, compressor unit and sampling system on board, and capacity to 250m.
Through our global footprint, we have built up strong expertise and a proven logistical support network. Together with trusted shipping and clearance processes, we can ensure continuity throughout the project life-cycle, even in the most remote or inhospitable locations.
Consulting
MSJ consult in a strategic, operational and technical capacity, delivering measurable improvements to clients requiring objective, independent and confidential drilling support.
We have experience in managing multiple drilling contractors and in overcoming difficult ground conditions. We have supported clients in the purchase and operation of their own drilling rigs, and our team have upskilled local contractors to maximise efficiency and safety. We have also worked alongside manufacturers in the design and engineering of bespoke drilling rigs and associated equipment.
Our hands-on approach and genuine drilling expertise has enabled us to deliver large and small scale consulting projects for mining, exploration and drilling organisations. We have assisted small privately owned businesses through to large multi-national corporations, operating globally in locations such as the UK, India, Russia, New Zealand and throughout the African continent.
